Airport Authority
of India (AAI) issued NOC for construction of 275 M high chimney. The validity
of the NOC was 4 years from 16.07.2002. The AAI have issued the fresh NOC on 08.03.2007.

f) Coal linkage |
The Ministry of Coal granted coal linkage to the tune of 2.25 MTPA for 2x250 MW
YTPP, Stage-II. Since the project was awarded to M/s REL for turnkey implementation
with capacity of 2x300 MW, Ministry of Coal was requested to enhance the coal
linkage from 2.25 MTPA to 3.00 MTPA. In view of the enhanced
capacity of Project from 2 X 250 MW to 2 X 300 MW, 0.52 MTPA additional coal linkage
has been granted by Ministry of Coal in SLC meeting on 20.12.2006 and for balance
quantity of 0.23 MTPA, matter has been taken up with Ministry of Coal. |

ii.
1200 MW COAL BASED PLANT AT HISAR :
The
work for turnkey implementation of 1200 MW Hisar Thermal Power Project, was awarded
during January, 07. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs.4297 crores.
The cost of Rs. 3.19 crore per MW for this project is the lowest in the Country
and is being talked about as a new benchmark. A Greenfield
project of this size takes at least 39 and 42 months for commissioning. However,
for Hisar project an aggressive commissioning schedule of 35 and 38 months has
been envisaged, which is the shortest commissioning schedule in the country for
such large capacity projects. The State is further targeting a best effort schedule
of 34 and 36 months for early availability of power from these Units. This is
the first project in the Northern Region to be awarded Mega Project status with
attached benefits under the Mega Project policy of Govt. of India. This has resulted
in reduction of project cost and inter-alia lower cost of generation/tariff. With
the commissioning of these two Units, the Haryana
State will be able to provide additional
288 lac units per day to its consumers. The construction work of the project is
going on at full swing.

3X500 ARAVALI SUPER THERMAL POWER PROJECT, JHAJJAR:
This
Coal based Super Thermal Power Project is being Set up at Jhajjar. The Project
is being executed by NTPC from concept to commissioning and subsequent Operation
& Maintenance in Joint Venture with Government of Delhi and Government of
Haryana. The MOU in this regard was signed between NTPC, Government of National
Capital Territory (NCT), Delhi and
Government of Haryana on 24.08.2006. The best efforts Commissioning Schedule
of three Units under this Project is 35, 38 & 41 months. The Joint Venture
Agreement for execution of this Project was signed on 14.12.2006 and the Joint
Venture Company i.e. Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd. for execution
of this Project, was found on 21.12.2006.

3x360 MW COMBINED CYCLE GAS BASED UNIT AT FARIDABAD
The State Govt.
has approved the proposal for setting up 3X360 MW Combined Cycle Gas based Plant
at Navada Koh near Badkhal in Faridabad on 11.08.2005.
